Weather conditions: |
| We were not present long enough to speculate on effects of weather. "Break-up" occurred the end of the first week of June. Many creeks and rivers started flowing in this very short time period.

BIOTIC
CONDITIONS
| Rodents abundance evaluation: |
low

Rodent dynamics:
| Greenland Collared Lemmings present in other years were not observed in 2000. Not very many voles seen, but still a bit early in the season and lots of snow cover in the time of visit, which does not allow to evaluate their abundance.
Rodent species recorded:
| Latin | Abundance |
| Microtus oeconomus | rare |

Summary
of fauna studies: |
| Ongoing analyses of abundance data will be available in the next year or two.
